As the 2022 Edition of the G Cloud University wrapped up, we caught up with our two local graduates here at Devoteam Alps: Kevin Dhëmbi and Ádám Zoltan Nagy. How was is for our newest Cloud Engineers to join the ranks of Devoteam G Cloud? What was the program like? And what would you say to future applicants? We asked each of them three quick questions.
Three questions for… Kevin Dhëmbi
What was your previous experience with Google Cloud Platform before you applied for training?
My experience with Google Cloud was minimal. However, being experienced with other cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure, made my transition to Google Cloud smoother.
What was your biggest challenge and how did you overcome it?
Managing my time to prepare for two certifications, which were scheduled for the same date. It was overwhelming. However, thanks to the support of my lecturers and proper studying, I was able to manage my time.
How did the training help you in onboarding into new projects at Devoteam?
The mock project that I was assigned during the training was the most beneficial learning experience of the course. I had the chance to learn how the Google Cloud environment is structured and I will definitely use this knowledge on future projects.

Three questions for… Ádám Zoltan Nagy
What were your first impressions of the training?
It’s demanding and there is a lot to learn, but Devoteam gathered some really experienced and knowledgeable trainers, and with the support of Google, we had access to a huge amount of well-organised learning materials.
What did you enjoy the most about it?
We had an interesting and fun project to work on as part of the training. We had a chance to get some experience with several services on the Google Cloud Platform and, in the end, deliver a solution that can be used by other teams.
What would you say to those considering applying for the next run?
Do it! It’s a great opportunity for both junior and senior engineers to start their journey with cloud technologies or expand their knowledge of new technologies.
